An Evening in Crete – Kalofagas Greek Supper Club

Crete, the southernmost part of Greece, largest island in the Mediterranean and the birthplace of the “Mediterranean Diet”. Join me on Monday, June 23rd as we will raise a glass (or two) of Cretan wine, say a couple of Matinades and enjoy a five course authentic Cretan dinner.

This dinner has been long in the making and I am delighted to host the dinner at Christina’s on the Danforth. All the dishes will be prepared using Cretan olive oil, furnished by Nisos Importing and the wines will be selected by Kolonaki Group.

Haniotiki Boureki with zucchini, potato, Krinos Feta and phyllo

Sea Urchin on a spoon, Evlogia Cretan olive oil, lemon juice

Tsigariasto Rabbit on Potato Crisp, housemade Staka sauce

First course – Fassolakia Ladera, fesh herbs, Yukon Gold potatoes, Evlogia Cretan olive oil

Second Course - Gamopilafo – Cretan Wedding rice simmered in lamb and chicken stock with Cretan sheep’s milk Graviera and Krinos yogurt

Main – Braised Cretan style Lamb with Fennel

Dessert – Lyhrinakia and Cretan Graviera, honey

Tickets for full dinner plus wine-pairings for the entire meal is $80.00 (plus handling fee).

Tickets for full dinner (NO WINE) are $70.00 (plus handling fee).
