Christmas is once again near and that means it is time to gather with friends for sumptuous meals and splurge on some exquisite wines. This year’s Christmas themed Greek Supper Club will feature the comforting regional cuisine of Amyndeon (and Florina) and for the first time, one of Greece’s most distinguished wineries.
Alpha Estate of Amyndeon was named “Winery of the Year 2013″ by Wine & Spirits Magazine. As noted by Joshua Greene, Publisher and Editor, “Alpha Estate’s range of exceptional wines makes it a great ambassador for Greece”.
It is my privilege to showcase the cuisine of the Amydeon region and I am honoured to have Alpha Estate wines served with this menu. Tom Noitsis of Eurovintage Wines & Spirits will be on hand discuss the wine pairings and answer any questions about the varietals, the winery and how Alpha Estate combines tradition and innovation when making wine.
Nisos Importing will supply the Cretan olive oil used in many of the dishes and Krinos Foods Canada with furnish many of the specialty Greek ingredients used in the dishes.
