Corfu, the Grand Lady of the Ionian Islands and the focus of this Greek Supper Club. The Venetian influence on the island’s cuisine is noticeable after 400 years of occupation. During that time, Corfu (Kerkyra as us Greeks call it) was also the entry point for many new ingredients that began to merge into Greek cuisine like tomatoes, peppers and potatoes.
Join me on Saturday, January 23rd at St. Lawrence Market for an evening of Corfiot specialties with some Kalofagas twists. All the dishes will be prepared using Greek extra-virgin olive oil from Nisos Importing.
